MSDN Live 2006: Windows Communication Foundation



In this picture from MSDN Live tour we can see (almost anyway) a list of the technologies that the new Windows Communication Foundation in .NET Framework 3.0 is set out to replace. Looking at this list and thinking about the timespan in which all these technologies were created, I can't help but wonder if it's not really coming a little too fast. If the lifespan of a technology is one to two years (probably a fraction of the research and development time), what's the point?
